Looking for examples of fall prevention programming tailored to older adults with low income

Posted February 26, 2016

The link between low socioeconomic status and falls/fall hospitalizations is clear but does anyone know of programming that specifically addresses this, that is tailored to the unique needs, risks and prevention barriers of persons living in poverty? We are conducting a situational assessment in our area to identify gaps in programming and feel this may be an overlooked yet very high-risk population for whom traditional fall prevention programming is insufficient or inaccessible. If our assessment confirms this, knowing about existing programs might help us be able to move forward in developing or supporting development/adoption/adaptation/implementation of this targeted programming. Thanks for any leads you can provide.
