Is anyone other than Ontario using the Lifespan Approach to Health Promotion for Fall Prevention?
Posted March 10, 2016
I'm working in BC and I'm working with frail-senior-centric fall prevention policy and intervention supports. I'm hoping to expand policy to a lifespan approach so that the early intervention of fall prevention behaviour change can develop positive impacts on fall and hospitalization rates in time. I believe that focusing only on frail seniors is part of what limits the effectiveness of fall prevention strategies and policies - it's intervening almost too late for many. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?
