Seeking older adults and caregivers to share their stories with the media for Fall Prevention Month

Posted April 21, 2016

The Partners for Fall Prevention Month are prepping to have a stronger presence in the media this November for Fall Prevention Month. We will be issuing media releases and assisting other organizations to get media coverage for their own initiatives. To do this successfully, we need several older adults and caregivers willing to act as spokespeople for media requests. Do you know an older adult or caregiver who would be willing to share their story about a fall and how it affected them? We need to put a human face on the issue to make readers care. Our Promotions & Media team will work with older adult/caregiver spokespeople to fine tune their stories. We'll also have fall prevention experts and organization reps to share evidence-based information about fall prevention and the campaign key messages - so older adults/caregiver spokespeople do not need to worry about that aspect.

If you have someone you can recommend who would enjoy this opportunity, please get in touch with me by phone or email. We are aiming for good geographic distribution across Ontario.
