Lending the Wii, walking sticks etc.

I wanted to ask if anyone has had success with starting up a lending service for materials within their organization. We have a Wii and walking sticks and some other materials that are rarely used so I was hoping to get them used more often and thought I would see if anyone is doing this already or has done this and how it worked? Thanks
