The National Ballet School of Canada, in partnership with Trent University and Baycrest Centre, is teaching ballet to a group of seniors via live stream

The National Ballet School of Canada, located in Toronto, is using technology to reach older adults in isolated rural areas with dance training. The goal is to reduce falls (by increasing strength and balance) and strengthen social ties. The first test in Ennismore, Ontario is wrapping up but more sites are planned. Trent University is studying the program to determine its effectiveness and feasibility for widespread rollout.
