NICE pocket (and digital) resources on caregiving, dementia care, end of life issues, addictions, elder abuse, mental health and more!

On May 10, my colleague Hélène Gagné and I attended the NICE (National Initiative for the Care of the Elderly) conference in Toronto. Our delegate bags were filled with these great little (5" x 4") printed resources. These "pocket guides" for people who work with older adults contain evidence-based information, screening tools and/or directories of local resources. They're really well done and it would be great if all service organizations had them on hand for their staff.
These resources are available for free download off the NICE website or you can order printed copies for about $1 each.
Some of the topics include:
- Pain Assessment Tool
- Introduction to Older Adults and Substance Use
- Indicators of Abuse
- Tool on Capacity and Consent
- Resources for Older Women
- Medication Utilization
- Early Onset Dementia: Advice for Couples
- Adopting Effective Money Management Practices
