Introductions to the Loop community

Posted January 11, 2018

Hello everyone!

I’d like to introduce myself as the newest member of the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF). My name is Mariel Ang and I am the new Project Coordinator for ONF's Prevention team. I will be playing a key role in coordinating the Loop platform and Fall Prevention Month.

Previously, I was involved with South East Ontario’s Regional Integrated Fall Prevention Strategy with the Centre for Studies in Aging and Health in Kingston, Ontario. Most recently, I worked with Bone and Joint Canada, a knowledge translation organization specializing in musculoskeletal disorders, and the University Health Network to implement a national best practice rehabilitation program for individuals with hip and knee osteoarthritis. I hope to lend my skills and experiences in project coordination/management and knowledge translation into this new role with ONF.

With my onboarding, ONF is saying goodbye to Cristina Cicco. Cristina is joining Health Quality Ontario to work on the Quorum project.  In the short time that Cristina was with ONF, she made great contributions to the work with the Fall Prevention Community of Practice and the Fall Prevention Month initiative. We wish Cristina the best of luck in her new position.

If you have any questions about Loop or Fall Prevention Month, please don’t hesitate to contact me at mariel@onf.org. I look forward to working with you all in our collective efforts to reduce falls in older adults!

Sincerely,
Mariel Ang, BA Kin, MPH
