Use of helmet with Tourette's syndrome

I received a question from a colleague about whether there is any evidence/experience using helmets with Tourette's syndrome. She has a 36 year old client who has sudden random unpredictable falls and is wondering about a helmet to reduce injury. Does anyone have any experience in this area?
