The Healthy Aging and Geriatrics department at UHN presents webinars concerning older adults. UHN is the University Health Network in Toronto. They cover a variety of topics of interest for older adults. This week featured an excellent webinar on the effects of hearing loss. https://sinaigeriatrics.ca/healthy-ageing101/#tab-id-3 Audiologist Marilyn Reed at Baycrest Hearing Services explained what hearing loss is and how it affects so many life factors. Two of the major ways in which hearing loss affect falling risks are balance issues and the ability to process information while struggling to hear.
