Royal College of Dental Surgeons Survey

Posted February 7, 2024

Add your input to public consultation by Dentists on access to dental care

Message:   Dear Ontario Oral Health Alliance members - for the 1st time the Royal College of Dental Surgeons is doing a public survey to get input on what the responsibilities of dentists should be in addressing the problem of unequal access to dental care.

Please complete the survey you find below. It will take about 15 minutes (if you are not a dentist).

Please share it with community members, friends and colleagues and encourage them to complete the survey. The more input from the general public to Ontario dentists, the better.

Thanks -OOHA Steering Committee

Help us shape the future of oral health care

Many Ontarians face barriers in accessing oral health care. RCDSO is looking at several ways to address this problem in our capacity as the regulator for dentistry in Ontario.

To that end, we are seeking your feedback to help inform the development of two new documents:

• A standard of practice to set out dentists’ legal, professional and ethical obligations when accepting new patients.

• A professionalism guide to set out the values, principles and duties dentists have as oral health care professionals.

We want to hear from you before we begin drafting these documents.

You can share your feedback by completing our online survey. It will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

Click here to download a PDF list of the survey questions.

The consultation is open until April 21, 2024.

We will review all feedback and consider your diverse perspectives as we begin our drafting process.

Feel free to email us if you need further information or have any questions.

Thank you for participating!
