The Caregivers' Guide to Fall Prevention
Posted January 27, 2026
Parachute is thrilled to share the launch of a new resource: the Caregivers’ Guide to Fall Prevention . This guide provides simple and practical information to help caregivers across Canada understand, prevent and manage falls. The guide is now available online in both official languages.
English: www.parachute.ca/caregivers
French: www.parachute.ca/personnes-aidantes
At the bottom of the web pages, you can download individual tools from the guide and access a list of relevant caregiving and fall prevention resources.
We would like to extend our gratitude to our project funder, the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation, and project partners, Caregiving Matters, Family Caregivers of British Columbia and the Ontario Caregiver Organization. We are grateful to Kathy Ford and Veronica Salvati, two caregivers who generously shared their time and expertise with us as well as the many caregivers across Canada who contributed stories, advice and feedback.
As a next phase of this project, we will be providing the guide as an audio resource in English and French. We will provide an update as soon as the audio resources are available to access.
Please feel free to share the Caregivers’ Guide to Fall Prevention and resources with your networks.
