Parachute published The Cost of Injury in Canada Report in 2015 that provides the most current national and provincial economical costs of injury, as well as the human toll in terms of deaths, hospitalizations, emergency room visits and disabilities. The Report also provides forecasts that demonstrate the potential impact of action. Falls were the leading cause of overall injury costs in Canada in 2010 accounting for $8.7 billion of the $27 billion total costs.
