Who is developing interventions or policy to target outdoor falls?

In reading the PHAC: Seniors' Falls In Canada Report 2 I was struck by the pie chart (don't get me started on the limited utility of pie charts) representing Figure 5: Activity associated with fall-related injury, age 65+, Canada, 2009/10. The category with the largest proportion as represented (45%) was activity associated with fall = Walking on 'any other surface'. This drove me to the literature where I found Li, Keegan, Sternfeld, Sidney, Quesenberry & Kelsey's 'Outdoor falls among middle-aged and older adults: a neglected public health problem.' (2006). It appears that Age-Friendly is making some inroads on this but what about wider intervention and policy efforts. Any thoughts?
