The Ontario Fall Prevention Collaborative is a group of more than 30 health representatives in Ontario with the goal of improving quality of life for Ontario seniors and lessening the burden of falls on the healthcare system by reducing the number and impact of falls. See this post for more information https://www.fallsloop.com/discussions/10807 and Visit https://onf.org/implementation/prevention/ to access the position paper and find out more about the Ontario Fall Prevention Collaborative’s work to identify key fall prevention strategies and to put fall prevention on the health system agenda in Ontario.
Fall prevention strategies can contribute to significant reductions in fall-related injuries, hospitalizations and associated health care costs among older adults. The paper illustrates how Ontario’s health care system can be leveraged to create a more integrated, efficient and cost effective approach to fall prevention.
