NS Releases Report on Seniors’ Falls Prevention
Posted Le 21 octobre 2016
The NS Department of Health and Wellness released a report titled "Seniors’ Falls in Nova Scotia: Current Status and Policy Approaches to Support Prevention". The purpose of the report is to identify opportunities where a policy approach to addressing seniors’ falls could be used across multiple settings. It is not intended to summarize all current initiatives ongoing in fall prevention.
The report has 3 sections:
1. Data on seniors’ fall-related injuries in Nova Scotia
2. A brief scan of the literature on policy approaches to support fall prevention work
3. Key informant interviews regarding policy approaches to support fall prevention work
The report is not up on the Department's website yet, but you can find a copy under this link http://www.acip.ca/acip-news-nouvelles-de-la-capb : click on the title Injury Prevention News - October 20, 2016 (scroll to the bottom to find the attachment).
Once the report is more accessible, I'll post an updated link!
