Have your say: Accessible design for the built environment
Posted Le 19 octobre 2017
The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is pleased to announce that the draft standard CSA B651, Accessible design for the built environment is now at the Public Review stage.
This draft was developed by the Technical Committee on Accessibility, and provides a comprehensive set of requirements and recommendations for accessibility in buildings and exterior environments.
It is currently referenced in the National Building Code as an optional alternative to its accessible design provisions, and current plans are for it to become mandatory under the 2020 Code.
For anyone involved in accessibility and design, this is a great opportunity to contribute your input to the next edition of this influential standard!
To review the draft and post comments, please visit the CSA Group Public Review site.
Public Review comments submitted via the web site will be accepted until end of day December 17, 2017. We look forward to your input!
