Hello from Loop’s newest staff member!

Hi everyone!

 

My name is Michelle Dueckman, and I am a new member of the Parachute team, supporting the Fall Prevention Program. As a Knowledge Translation and Programs Coordinator, I will play a key role in supporting the Loop and Loop Junior platforms, and the annual Fall Prevention Month Campaign.

 

Previously, I worked with Cancer Care Ontario (now Ontario Health) to advance the Ontario Cervical Screening Program’s priorities and goals. Specifically, I was involved in promotional activities to generate awareness and increase screening rates, knowledge translation activities to move evidence to action, and leading a provincial Community of Practice for cancer screening stakeholders to socialize clinical guidance. Most recently, I worked with the Waypoint Research Institute in Penetanguishene, ON supporting the initiation, planning, and execution of a variety of mental health-focused research projects. I look forward to utilizing my knowledge, skills, and experience in public health, knowledge translation, and project management in a new setting to create real, positive impact. 

 

With my onboarding, Parachute is saying goodbye to Shameeza Allard from ONF. Shameeza has joined the Ontario Ministry of Transportation as a Policy Advisor.  Shameeza made great contributions to the 2019 and 2020 Fall Prevention Month campaigns by managing the social media strategy and many key deliverables.  She was also instrumental in the development of the Loop and Loop Junior tutorial videos in partnership with Durham College. On behalf of Parachute, we thank Shameeza for her excellent work and we wish her the best of luck in her new position.
