What can Loop do for you? (1st Edition – Event Calendar)
Posted Le 11 août 2021
Hi Everyone!
In case you missed it, I’m new to Loop and will be learning all about the Loop website functions and features that bring people together and enable knowledge sharing.
Loop has a lot of exciting webinars lined up in the coming months, so naturally, the first Loop website feature I needed to learn was how to navigate the Event Calendar and how to post events.
You can access the Event Calendar from the Loop Home Page in three ways - under ‘Services’ on the top toolbar, and under your profile shortcut and ‘Upcoming Events’ on the sidebar.

Once on the Event Calendar page, you can view upcoming events, search for an event, or comment on an event so it will be featured under the Active Discussions, increasing the event visibility and allowing others to comment too!

But wait! There’s more! One of the awesome features of Loop’s Event Calendar is that any Loop member can post for everyone in the community to see. It can be an event that you are organizing, an event you are attending or just an event you think the fall prevention community of practice might be interested in!
Here’s how:
- Use the “Submit to the Loop Calendar” button and complete the new event form.
- Be sure to include a short and long description (can be taken from the event webpage).
- Include a link to the event URL. If there isn’t one, link to event organizer’s URL.
- Attach a flyer if possible (max 2MB).
- If you are not the organizer of the event, ask permission before posting their event.

All events are approved by the Loop team before being published on Loop’s Event Calendar. If you need to update or edit an event after it’s published to the Event Calendar, just let me know and I can easily make the edits for you :)
If you have any questions about the Loop Event Calendar (or the Loop website in general), let me know and we can find an answer together.
Cheers!
Michelle
Over the next few weeks, I will be showcasing various website functions and features by sharing my learnings with you. If you can’t handle the anticipation between posts ;), feel free to explore the website on your own or review the brief Loop Tutorial videos posted on the Loop website.
